Peace, Part the Next
Picture of God #69, Sun 1/14 thru Tues 1/16
I have found a little secret, I think.
The secret is that when you are genuinely "working" the spiritual path, the Lord Above is constantly listening, ready to help strengthen you.
And remember back in school what usually strengthened you most? That's right....Studying for tests.
The previous Picture of God was about peace, and, more specifically, keeping yourself focused on the Holy Spirit's presence within, and that THIS is the pearl of great price, and how different that is from the peace of the world.
Since I so "boldly" wrote those words:

| 40% of our already thread-bare computer programming department has resigned to go elsewhere. |
| The cat has some kind of stomach irritation, and you know what that means. |
| One of my dearest friends was helping clean my house, slipped on the stairs, and her knee is so badly hurt she can't even open it, let alone walk. |
| I woke up Monday (yesterday) literally unable to move....Sick? Well, the only symptoms were being tired "beyond tiredness"...Ever since I got really sick in '75 (you'll find the story elsewhere, not that it really matters) I must be very careful not to get too tired or "over-extended", or my whole system shuts down like a circuit-breaker. |
As to the point.
YHWH's love is real.
Sometimes things just happen.
Rather than spending our entire lives worrying about and trying to fix things that often just can't be fixed, how much more wondrous to spend our time learning to find the still, inner calm, where YHWH's Eternal Joy always rests?
That's what Jesus refers to when He says "Why do you spend your money on bread that does not satisfy?"
Eventually I will get my energy back....always have....odds look good on this one too....we'll work on the problems, and find a whole new set to worry about, should we choose.
But I am here to testify that "it works." Should you choose, when you choose, you can experience total bliss and joy, even in the midst of external calamity.
I am at peace.
I pray the same for you.
