The Strangest Joke I Have Ever Heard    

Thought for your day #39, Thurs 11/16/00

Jesus is hanging on the cross.

"Peter!  Peter!" he cries.

One of the people observing the Crucifixion says, "Oh no.  Peter.  The Lord is calling for Peter."

So, he runs into town to where Peter and the other disciples are hiding.

"Peter, you MUST come quickly.  The Lord is calling for you."

So, risking imprisonment and death, they run back to the cross.

"Peter!  Peter!"

"Yes, Lord, it is Peter.  I am here!"

"Peter!  Peter....I can see your house from here!!"

[Don't say I didn't warn you.]
