Picture of God #100, Wed 4/11/1

Reader Letter #1:
I believe that it is absolutely imperative that your web-site engage in a discussion about the Genesis account of creation. The primary reason why people accept or reject the Bible, God, and Messiah Yashua is because of the subject of origins. To avoid this issue is to not be serious about a theistic perspective. Your site is very similar to PLIM. You can find this site at www.PLIM.org. I mention them because they tackle the subject of origins head on. Your page give a short commentary on
origins, but your page do not engage in complex detailed discussion on the days in the Genesis Account of creation (Chapter 1 and 2). Are you an evolutionist or are you a creationist. All theistic arguments build its theology on the rock of creation
or on the sands of evolution. What one believes about origins lay the theological foundation for what they believe in every aspect and dimension of life. I hope you will respond to my questions. God bless you and Yashua be with you.

My answer #1:

Thank you for writing.
I have, indeed, written extensively about the creation & origin of the universe.
You will find it in The Revealing Science of God.
I would be happy to respond to your comments after you have a chance to read it.
Peace.
Ahyh

Reader Letter #2:
I have ready that portion of your web-site and I found it interesting.  However, your page does not give a verse by verse commentary on Genesis chapters1 and 2. God bless and good bye.

My answer #2:

Combining your 2 emails, I gather you think that people who do not give a verse-by-verse account of Genesis 1 & 2 are not qualified to speak on theological matters.
I guess that excludes Jesus, too.
I'm sorry you appear so willing to apply this one artificial criterion to religious study.
Should you be willing to discuss anything else, please let me know.

Reader Letter #3:
You sound very angry or at least very defensive. I'm not writing to your web page to criticize what you have already written about Genesis. I was hoping for a deeper explanation. What you have on your page does not really answer the common questions about biblical creation. Such as the age of the universe, the length of the creation days, and whether you believe creation
or evolution. Your page does not give me solid answers to questions I've been asking myself all of my life. I'm not writing to say that you are wrong, but only to say that your page needs to produce more solid answers to concrete questions about the Genesis account of creation. God bless and good bye.

My answer #3:

Dear Sir,

I am neither angry nor defensive. I am frustrated. You should "try things" from this end sometimes.

There are hundreds of pages on the website. Every one of them (it seems to me) drips with my confidence, knowledge and faith in the presence of YHWH as the prime-mover, the source & destiny of all.

Now, this letter of yours is quite a bit more open than the last. The previous message appeared to be (forgive me for misunderstanding) that if I do not give a verse-by-verse commentary on Genesis 1 & 2 then I have no credibility as it comes to other religious matters.

Now, I too have been asking these questions all my life.

As to "solid answers?" I simply cannot give you any.

Look, though I do not make much of an issue of it, I consider myself somewhat of a widely read scientist.

The age of the universe?

You really, honestly, expect me to give you a solid answer? Well, OK. Here it is: I have no idea.

Look, carbon 14 dating is VERY stable, based on the known half-life of radioactively unstable carbon molecules. Based on everything we know there are massive amounts of data, from the large to the small, that the universe is BILLIONS of years old.

And yet...yet...Do you remember Apollo 8,9 & 10? What did they do? They circled the moon & shot projectiles at it. Why?

We have been able to very precisely measure the rate of cosmic dust, at approximately 1/25,000 of an inch per year. If the moon is 4 billion years old, then there should be, and NASA FULLY EXPECTED THERE WOULD BE, over a mile of dust thickly covering the surface of the moon.

Yet when they finally got the courage to try it, based on the data from 8 9 & 10, they found a fairly uniform layer of dust 1/2 to 1 inch deep.

That doesn't fit the model of a 4 billion year old moon.

They left a censor on the surface from 11, another from 12. When 13 failed they jettisoned the useless Lander to the surface. What happened?

Few know this, because it has been hushed over, and I am not trying to be conspiratorial, but according to NASA's own records, the moon rang for 4 hours.

Like it was hollow.

And made of metal.

There are likewise MULTIPLE models that indicate that at least the earth / moon structures are far younger than the rest of the multi-billion year models indicate.

Which is the absolute, God-ordained truth? I do not know.

I have been following very closely the Mars exploration stories. I have seen from NASA's own photo library what can only be described as glass tunnels....our computer models of the face on Cydonia & the surrounding structures indicate less than one in a TRILLION (that's 1000 billion) that these are naturally made.

Well, certainly there are thousands of pages that could be and have been written on these subjects.

For me, I am a supporter of the Creation Science Institute. In The Revealing Science of God I tried to take the discussion to a higher, fundamental discussion. Ultimately the thoughtful person is left with 2 completely "impossible", inconceivable options:
#1 the universe is nothing more than chance, the stuff in it has always been here, and life is a function of matter. Like putting all of the parts of a watch into a bag, shaking it for a billion years, and resulting in a watch that is perfectly formed, wound, and set to the right time.
#2 Or, the universe is the result of intelligently guided processes from a self-existent Being Who has simply always been here. Again, inconceivable from the human perspective. Matter then, ultimately, is a function of life.

Option #1 is simply trillions upon trillions of times more inconceivable to me than #2. That makes me a Theistic Creationist, and I am sorry that did not come across more clearly through TRSOG.

But if you are looking for too much more than that, well, I have learned a little humility.

If you want my "best guess", if I had to stand before the Judgment Seat & give an answer, here's what I would say:

1) The universe is YHWH's construction.
2) The "visible universe", consisting of (at last best estimate) 500,000,000,000 (billion) galaxies is only the icecube on the tip of the iceberg.
3) YHWH has literally always been here, and as such has a "history" extending so far as to make the 4 billion years of estimated time nothing more than half a blink in His eye.
4) Each and every step along the story of the universe has been creatively, intelligently GUIDED, exactly in the same way that the first combustion piston has a direct link to the hottest Indy 500 rocket car, which is through a DEVELOPMENTAL (I hesitate to use the term evolutionary) history, that was DELIBERATELY, INTELLIGENTLY GUIDED, each and every step of the way.
5) There is an infinitely larger story about what's really happened, what's really going on, and what's going to happen, than any human mind can begin to comprehend.
6) The earth has been a part of the multi-billion year GUIDED DEVELOPMENT.
7) The moon was docked where it is 20 thousand years ago or so, as a part of either the human race's previous efforts (funny how even today we could not build the Egyptian pyramids, and most of the world's mythologies speak of a universal flood, and they also speak of a previously smarter, more enlightened human race, which also is in direct contradiction to the evolutionary model, yet the evidence for it is all around us) or some other race from another planet.
8) Regardless of the planets or races or eons or days or the universe or the system of multiverses, the central column of ALL OF IT, EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ELECTRON'S POSITION FROM THE BEGINNING OF INFINITY PAST, stands on & revolves around the essence of The Divine Name, which is I + Will = Being.

That is my position.

I'd love to hear from you. Your more open tone has allowed me to respond in kind.

Shalom, Ahyh
