The Life of Brian
This movie is about a guy named BRIAN who is constantly being mistaken for JESUS.
None of the silly "christians" who protested this movie seemed to be able to grasp that complex idea.
The Pythons spoof many of our all-too-human ideas about religion:
 | The masses repeating together "I will think for myself...I am an individual!" |
| The executioner who is supervising the stoning of a man who said "Jehovah", who gets stoned by the crowd when he announces the "criminal's" transgression |
| The protest groups who wind-up fighting each other more than the oppression of the Romans |
And the final scene where the troupe does a song & dance number while crucified to crosses is just TOO MUCH!
It's just absurd. And hilarious.
And thought provoking.
And I simply cannot see even one scene that would actually offend The Lord of Hosts.
